Our Greatest Motivation by Matthew T.-S.

Hubris

Oh the worlds of men

How majestic your creations

How great your perceived differences

How brutal your squabbles

Our True Place

Stand in awe of your insignificance

Be consumed by your loneliness

And that vast distance

separating you

from all that is

Shackles

Let your dread bind you

Let it hold you in place

Numb yourself with novelty

Distract yourself from your demise

No one has ever escaped

Who are you to say otherwise

Man’s Greatest protest

I am Man

Who am I not to be significant

Who am I to let this most definite of ends

Impede My goals

I stand defiant to My fate

so be it ,let it come

I will pay that day no mind

and live as if i will forever

Abandonment by Matthew T.-S.

I find no one but myself

Lingering just out of sight

No lonely creator

only i guide the light

I find nothing but mist

In my search for God

Has he abandoned us

Or was he never there to begin with

To spare us the rod

I Will by Matthew T.-S.

I Will

Share in their Pain

hold them close to my Heart

sing songs of Glory and Salvation

carry their shackles of Dread

bear the weight of their chains

use these words of power to break them

to Cry into the Darkness

tear the Void asunder

spread Love and Hope

May these words bear the Courage of those

bound so tightly in Their Loneliness

May these words guide them to the path that

lets their own light shine

So that Others may be Drawn to Them

In Their Darkest of Times

Sol by Matthew T.-S.

As i sail through the cosmos

I ponder upon the bow of this great ship

Made of plant and stone

I cast my gaze to the heavens

In search of answers

Sorrow in my eyes, for the questions yet to come

I must confess i do not cry

At times i find myself erupting into –

maniacal laughter

Tears streaming down my face

Its funny how these emotions can become –

indistinguishable

Especially in the darkest of times

How in moments of extreme stress

Which cripple the strongest of men

The consuming fires of fear and helplessness

Can cause an expression of great joy and relief

Almost as if the horrible fate looming indomitable

is just a figment of the imagination
